Product Designer (Contract)

Poka Labs

Remotecontract

Poka Labs · Remote · Part-time, approximately 10–15 hours per week Poka Labs builds AI agents for chemical and industrial manufacturers. We help commercial teams turn customer requests into quotes, find the right products in large catalogs, and make better pricing decisions. We’re a YC Summer 2024 company with a small engineering team and a growing product. We’re looking for an experienced contract product designer who can take a complicated workflow, ask the right questions, and turn it into something intuitive that our engineers can build. We expect an initial engagement of one to two months, with the potential to continue or expand. Our customers work with tens of thousands of products, complex pricing, and multiple layers of review. We need to make that complexity manageable. You’ll work directly with our technical co-founder, Andrew, to design new features and improve important workflows across our quoting and pricing products. Examples include: Helping users review AI-recommended price changes across a large product catalog without becoming overwhelmed. Making quote status, review requests, and next steps easy to understand. Showing the reasoning behind AI recommendations at the right level of detail. Incorporating customer feedback while supporting both simple and more complex workflows. The immediate priority is getting new features and core interactions right. Targeted improvements to the existing product will also be part of the work. Build enough understanding of our product and customers to make decisions in context. Turn requirements, customer feedback, and conversations into clear user flows and concrete designs. Identify missing requirements, edge cases, and tradeoffs before engineering starts building. Produce implementation-ready screens, prototypes, and concise interaction notes. Work with engineers through implementation and refine designs based on feedback. Establish reusable patterns where they help us build more consistently. We want to be able to explain what a feature needs to accomplish and trust you to lead the design work, without requiring a founder to direct every screen. You’re an experienced product designer with strong UX judgment and a track record of making complex software easier to use. You likely have: Experience designing B2B software with substantial workflows, tables, approvals, or other information-heavy interfaces. The ability to reason through an ambiguous product problem and explain your decisions. Good instincts for hierarchy, progressive disclosure, and helping users understand what to do next. A practical approach to working with a small engineering team: you know where detail matters and when a straightforward solution is enough. The independence to get up to speed, ask focused questions, and move work forward. Comfort using AI tools to explore ideas and accelerate delivery while applying your own design judgment. Experience with AI products or early-stage startups is helpful. Chemical industry experience isn’t required. This is a hands-on design role with direct access to the founders and engineers. We expect a weekly design touchpoint, with most collaboration happening asynchronously. We prefer a monthly retainer based on an agreed scope and expected capacity. The starting commitment is approximately 10–15 hours per week, with scope and compensation agreed together. From there we can be more flexible!

Lokal App

HSR Layoutcontract

About Lokal In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online. This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates, classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. Users gave us the insight - when one use case outweighs the others, everything else seems like noise. We listened. Like how Craigslist quietly seeded a generation of focused companies & marketplaces, we began unbundling and verticalising. Today, Lokal is a house of focused apps, many products, one mission to connect Tier-2/3+ India to the Knowledge, opportunities, tools and experts they’ve always deserved. We now operate dozens of live apps across categories like: Edutainment & Skill Learning – practical skills and learning in regional languages (GyanTV) Matrimonial Matchmaking – hyperlocal, compatibility-first partner search (Lokal Matrimony) Agri Consulting – farmer-first advisory in local languages (AgriLokal) Local Jobs – blue- and grey-collar opportunities close to home (Lokal Jobs, Sahi Jobs) Social & Community – Place to find & post social updates (Lokal app) Emotional Well-being & Peer Support – safe spaces to talk and feel heard (Dostt & Eaze) Astrology & Guidance – instant access to trusted Astrologers via chat and voice (AstroLokal) Advisory Services – early bets in legal help, financial guidance, career counselling, and more Under the hood, Lokal is a discovery and access platform: local-language internet + deep Bharat insight+ AI. When someone opens a product we’ve built, they don’t wade through clutter; they get a straight line to what they came for. This is the story new teammates walk into: a company that started as a whatsapp group, became a family of focused apps, and kept one belief at the centre — access changes lives. We ship fast. We learn fast. We build for Bharat. We are backed by leading global and domestic investors including Y Combinator, Sony, Global Brain, India Quotient, and 3one4 Capital Role Overview :We are looking for a highly creative and skilled Video Editor to join our content team. This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who sets the vision and drives it to results, turning our brand, campaigns, product launches, and category point of view into social-first storytelling that resonates. What makes this role distinctive is the dual audience. You'll build brand resonance and community with the people we ultimately serve — members and families navigating hard moments — while speaking fluently to the B2B audiences who bring Empathy to them: life insurers, wealth firms, benefits leaders, HR teams, insurance agents, and wealth advisors. You're equally comfortable crafting an emotionally resonant brand moment and a sharp, credible B2B narrative. You'll lead with LinkedIn as our B2B engine and Instagram as our brand and community home, extending to other channels as they earn their place. Jurafuchs

Brand & Marketing Designer (m/w/d) EdTech - 100% remote

Jurafuchs

Home Officepart time

Work Your Way: 100 % remote, flexible Arbeitszeiten und Fokus auf Ergebnisse statt Präsenz.

Social Media Manager ( SaaS / Remote / Part-time / Belgium )

Publitas

€35.00–€55.00/hr

Brussels, Brussels, Belgiumpart time

The Mission: Publitas turns static, dead PDFs into interactive, shoppable digital content discovery experiences for global brands. Across our consumer platforms like PromoButler and Promozilla, we help European shoppers discover the best local retail offers and discounts in one paperless destination. Our platforms rely on high engagement to keep deal-hunters returning and to drive digital catalog folder opens. As a Social Media Creator (PromoButler), your mission is to convert short-form social media attention directly into platform traffic and boosted folder opens. We are not looking for a corporate social media strategist who only manages schedules from behind a desk. We need an energetic, hands-on, native-fluent content creator who loves getting in front of the camera, hunting down top retail deals, and leveraging modern AI workflows to scale short-form video output across social channels. We don't measure you by years of experience; we measure you by outcomes. Here is what you will achieve in your first 3 months: Day 30: You have seamlessly taken over the PromoButler Instagram and TikTok channels, establishing a reliable content cadence without drop-off. You have built custom AI prompts and workflow templates (using tools like Gemini, Claude, and CapCut) to cut your video creation and offer-tagging time in half. Day 60: You have tested and validated new short-form content formats (unboxing, trend hijacks, street interviews, and retailer store visits) across Dutch and French social feeds. You have established a clean workflow for capturing store footage across Belgian retailers and running localized content experiments. Day 90: Your short-form video engine operates with high speed and precision. Your top-performing video formats consistently drive measurable lifts in Belgian follower growth, social engagement, and direct folder opens on the PromoButler platform. Creator-First Mindset: You don't just follow social trends, you hijack them. You understand hooks, audio clips, pacing, and visual storytelling that stop the scroll on TikTok and Instagram Reels. AI-First Efficiency: You don't create every post from scratch. You leverage AI voiceovers, automated clipping, and smart prompt templates to publish high-quality short-form content at scale across multiple languages. Radical Proactivity & Mobility: You don't wait for a script to be handed to you. When a client books a TikTok campaign or a major retail discount drops, you grab your gear, head to the store, and shoot the content yourself. Boots on the Ground in Belgium: You must be based in Belgium with a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation to visit partner retail stores for on-location shoots. Retailers demand specific store locations across Belgium; a car is a strict operational requirement for time and efficiency. Native Belgian Language Mastery: Fluent in both Flemish (Belgian Dutch) and French (Walloon), with an intuitive understanding of local Belgian phrasing (which differs significantly from Netherlands Dutch, knowing when to use "promotion" vs. "offer"). On-Camera Charisma & Short-Form Video Skills: High comfort level appearing on camera, filming yourself, and editing scroll-stopping content using CapCut, InShot, or native mobile suites. Applied AI Competency: Active daily use of generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, AI video generators) to script, translate, voiceover, and automate content output. Flawless Asynchronous Communication: Strong written and spoken English for collaborating with our async, global team. Transparent Compensation: A competitive hourly contractor rate (€35.00–€55.00/hr based on expertise) with clear reimbursements for travel, petrol, and store purchases True Remote Autonomy: Part-time flexibility (25–30 hours/week) with no clock-watching or unnecessary alignment meetings. Time Off: Generous paid time off mapped to your contract arrangement and national holidays. At Publitas, we see AI as a core lever for performance, efficiency, and innovation. We expect all team members to actively use AI in their daily work to improve quality, speed, and output. Depending on the role, this ranges from effectively using AI tools in day-to-day workflows to designing and scaling AI-driven systems. We are not looking for candidates who are “AI-curious”; we look for people who already use AI to do better work and can demonstrate tangible impact.

Freelance Marketing Designer, Web

PolicyMe

Toronto, Ontario, Canadacontract

Note there is also a full time opening available, that a freelancer could look to move into if interested. PolicyMe is building a simpler, more affordable insurance experience for Canadian families. Our website is where customers learn, build trust, and take the next step toward coverage. We’re hiring a freelance Marketing Designer, Web to raise the visual quality of that experience. You’ll design, improve, and maintain our marketing site built using Webflow; turn Growth briefs into polished, component-led pages; and own quality through launch. Most of your work will be web and CMS-based, with select opportunities to support campaign creative, slides, ads, email UI, and other brand assets. This is not a product-design, UX-research, or front-end developer role. We need a strong visual designer with exceptional judgment in typography, hierarchy, layout, responsive design, and the details that make a page feel considered. You don’t need to be a Webflow expert on day one: CMS fluency, good technical judgment, and an appetite to learn matter more. Turn Growth and Content briefs into polished Figma designs for landing pages, product pages, editorial hubs, and campaigns. Build clear, conversion-aware, accessible, and responsive layouts using our design system and existing components. Design new components when needed, extending our design system in a cohesive, reusable way. Improve the marketing site’s everyday surfaces, including navigation, templates, content modules, and EN/FR experiences (French language is not required) with the same care as major launches. Bring a point of view to how PolicyMe shows up visually. As a startup, you’ll have meaningful input into the evolution of our web and marketing design identity, in partnership with Growth and Design leadership. Learn and use our CMS and Webflow environment to build, update, and publish pages. Own pre- and post-launch quality: responsive checks, visual QA, content and link validation, localization review, and clear resolution of inconsistencies. Maintain and improve reusable Figma and CMS components, templates, and guardrails so the team can ship faster without compromising quality. Create complete handoffs for Webflow/development partners, covering interaction states, edge cases, annotations, and walkthroughs. Manage design feedback through implementation and ensure launched work matches the intended experience. Coordinate with Growth, Content, Design, and Engineering to clarify scope, surface dependencies, and keep projects moving. Support selected needs across campaign creative, ads, slide templates, email UI, illustrations, and other marketing assets. Use AI design tools—including Claude Design—to explore quickly, create wireframes and variations, and improve production speed, while applying strong human judgment to every final output. Need to have’s: 2–4 years of experience in marketing, web, brand, or related digital design. Exceptional portfolios matter more than an exact number of years. A portfolio made up of highly polished marketing websites or landing pages, plus evidence of breadth across formats such as campaign work, motion, illustration, presentations, ads, or email. Excellent Figma skills and a sharp eye for typography, spacing, composition, hierarchy, image selection, and responsive behaviour. Experience in a CMS or no-code/low-code site builder. Webflow experience is welcome, not required. The ability to work within and thoughtfully extend an existing component system—not simply make one-off pages. A meticulous, reliable approach to quality and a willingness to own both high-visibility launches and routine CMS/site-maintenance work. Clear communication: you can write useful specs, give developers actionable feedback, and work effectively with non-design partners. Comfort juggling concurrent requests, making practical trade-offs, and using AI tools to increase speed without lowering the craft bar. Nice to have’s: Webflow experience, including CMS collections, global components, slots and variables, responsive page building, or publishing workflows. Basic HTML/CSS literacy. Experience briefing, reviewing, or QAing agency or freelance developer work. Experience in a high-trust, regulated, consumer-facing, or content-heavy business. Familiarity with accessibility, localization, SEO-aware content templates, or conversion-oriented web design. Generous PTO - 20 vacation days A comprehensive benefits plan with premiums paid in full by PolicyMe Investment in your professional development, including an L&D budget, AI tooling budget, performance reviews twice a year and ongoing feedback to ensure you reach your highest potential An extremely high performing, low-ego, remote-first team that is truly disrupting an old industry Option to work from home or our Toronto-based office (bonus: we cover the costs to bring all our employees in-person twice a year for experiential socials!) Access to stock options based on performance About PolicyMe: At PolicyMe, we are Canada’s leading digital insurance solution, offering straightforward and affordable financial protection for families from coast to coast. Our product suite includes Life Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and Health & Dental Insurance, all tailored to Canadians' evolving needs. We also offer B2B2C solutions, partnering with organizations to provide seamless digital insurance options. Founded by a team of insurance experts and technology entrepreneurs, PolicyMe is committed to making insurance simpler and more accessible. Since our launch in 2018, we have grown exponentially, selling over $10 billion in insurance coverage to Canadians. We are proud of the team we’ve built and are excited for those that are yet to join us. We operate with a remote-first culture, attracting top talent from across Canada. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working alongside incredibly ambitious yet humble humans, we may be the right place for you! To learn more, visit www.policyme.com. Job Vacancy: This role reflects growth in our team and expanded operational scope. We’re hiring to support increasing demand and continue delivering an exceptional customer experience. Commitment to Equal Opportunity: PolicyMe is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and provide fair consideration regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability. Accessibility Statement: We are committed to providing an accessible hiring experience. If you require accommodations during the application process, please indicate this in the “Additional Information” section of your application. We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. You won't be starting from a blank page: our tone of voice guide and brand strategy are already in place, so you'll have a clear foundation to build on rather than having to define the brand's voice from scratch. Flexible enough to fit around your schedule, with a clear rhythm for check-ins with the team. A tone of voice and brand strategy already in place. See your work go live fast. No lengthy agency handoff cycles — what you create ships to a real, ultra-luxury website. A team that spans 30+ countries. Designers, architects, and hospitality professionals from every corner of the world, working to the same standards, the same bar for quality.
