Freddie’s Flowers was founded by Freddie Garland in October 2014 with one ambition: to change people’s relationship with flowers. We believe flowers aren’t only for grand occasions, but they make every day special, inspiring creativity and sparking joy. Our starting point was our direct-to-consumer subscription model, helping us grow a loyal UK following. We launched in Germany in 2020, and then in 2021 we secured significant backing from The Craftory, a like-minded purpose-led global investment house, helping us expand, develop and grow. 2023 saw us start our gifting service – bringing the best of Freddie’s Flowers to everyone who needs it (even last minute!). From the seed of an idea we continue to flourish; we’re now a B Corp organisation. And our founding mission remains unchanged – to change the world of flowers, and to change the world with flowers. About the Role: We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Photographer & Retoucher to join our in-house creative team on a part-time basis. This role will focus on producing high-quality product and lifestyle imagery for digital, social and campaign use, helping bring the Freddie’s Flowers brand to life across multiple channels. Working from our in-house studio, you’ll be responsible for shooting monthly floral arrangements and products, styled lifestyle content and occasional campaign imagery, while also handling post-production and retouching to ensure all assets meet brand standards. You’ll have a strong visual eye, a proactive attitude, and a passion for creating beautiful, engaging imagery. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment and confident managing both shoots and post-production from start to finish. This role is 3 Days per week Responsibilities: - - Photograph floral arrangements for e-commerce, marketing and content use Capture lifestyle imagery that reflects the Freddie’s Flowers brand aesthetic Support on creative shoots for social media campaigns, seasonal launches and brand content Work alongside our floral stylist to style and compose shots Be able to light shoots within our in-house studio as well as on location Retouch and colour-correct imagery to a high professional standard Prepare and export assets for web, social and print use Maintain consistency across all visual content and ensure alignment with brand guidelines Collaborate closely with the rest of the creative team as well as performance, CRM and social teams on shoot planning and execution Assist with studio organisation, equipment care and workflow management Requirements Proven experience in product and lifestyle photography Strong retouching skills with excellent attention to detail Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom Understanding of studio lighting and composition Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively Strong organisational and time-management skills A portfolio showcasing relevant commercial, product, or lifestyle photography preferably within the floral or interiors industry. You’ll primarily be responsible for producing complete media packages for our property listings. This includes: Professional interior and exterior property photography Cinematic property videography Drone photography and videography Agent walkthrough and social media content Editing and colour grading photography Editing property videos and short-form social content Preparing and exporting final assets for digital and marketing use Managing footage, project files and media delivery Working directly with agents and our internal marketing/media team Travelling to properties across Auckland and, when required, Northland You’ll be expected to confidently manage a shoot independently, understand how to showcase a property effectively and deliver finished work within tight turnaround times. We’re looking for someone who is both creative and highly efficient. You should have: Strong photography and videography skills Experience shooting interiors, architecture, property or similar content Strong understanding of composition, lighting and camera movement Professional editing experience Confidence using Adobe Premiere Pro and Lightroom/Photoshop or equivalent professional software Experience operating a gimbal Experience shooting and editing drone content A strong eye for cinematic but natural property imagery The ability to work independently and make creative decisions on location Excellent organisation and file management The ability to work to deadlines and maintain consistent quality across a high volume of work A full New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport A portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant photography and video work will be essential. The role goes beyond traditional real estate photography. Alongside listing photography and property films, you'll have opportunities to work across: Agent profile and lifestyle films Social media reels Walkthrough videos Location and community content Brand campaigns Luxury and lifestyle property productions Longer-form editorial and cinematic projects You'll work alongside our internal media and marketing team, with the opportunity to develop your skills across a wide range of productions. New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty North represents property from north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge through to the top of the North Island. Our in-house media team plays an important role in how our properties, agents and locations are presented to market. We're continuing to expand our production capability and are looking for someone who wants to grow with the team. This role would suit someone who loves being behind a camera, enjoys the pace and variety of property media, and takes pride in producing consistently strong work.
