Junior Website Designer/Development

Web Design/Development Ninja

Intellectual Ninjas is looking for a creative and knowledgeable web designer to join our squad!

Who are we looking for? Someone driven to provide extraordinary work, has a keen eye for details, is creative, innovative, and works well under pressure. This position will work directly with Web Dev Leads and Project Teams to create new, engaging websites, handle revisions or additions to existing websites and more. This is a remote position, part-time and full-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Self-managed day-to-day responsibilities to ensure all scheduled projects within each calendar week are completed
• Manage time appropriately and meet project deadlines
• Professional and prompt internal communication
• Provide insight on design strategies, Google Best Practices and more
• Keep up-to-date with the latest in design trends, website security and platform version releases

Location

• This is a remote position, so location is open
• Must be comfortable with REMOTE working environment
• EST or CST time zones PREFERRED

Qualifications

• Knowledge of web design conventions, design standards and trends
• Knowledge of user experience, web standards, optimization, and Google Best Practices
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 Basic PHP/MySQL
• Qualified experience in WordPress, Woocommerce design and development; Shopify experience is a plus
• Knowledgeable and experienced in graphic editing, including tools: Photoshop, Illustrator
• Ability to take direction, including constructive criticism on project design
• Able to make decisions and take initiative
• Excited about website architecture and user experience design
• EXCELLENT professional communication skills; internal and external communication
• Up-to-date on the latest web technologies, including features, security, version updates
• Professional, dependable, solid work ethic, detail-oriented, self-motivated
• An eye for detail and a dedication to quality
• Knowledge in website functionality and user experience (UX) best practices
• Customer service above all, always priority
• Be a PROBLEM SOLVER

Experience

• Minimum 1 year (2 years or more desired) experience as a web designer/developer
• NOTE: We do not use Divi Builder. Sorry, if that is limiting, but it is important.
• Impressive portfolio with a proven track record in designing for web
• Ability to quickly build using modern WYSIWYG builders
• but also in HTML and CSS; these skills are essential
• Experience using/building with responsive web design
• Outstanding skills in Photoshop
• Proficiency in Illustrator and/or InDesign
• High level of design skill and technical proficiency
• Client communication/service experience preferred
