About the role

Australia does not have a household name in lawn and garden. We are building one. Your job is to make people stop and watch.

Take ninety seconds to read this, and you will see why.

WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS

We are not hiring a videographer. Not a social media manager. Not a UGC creator turning out clips against someone else's brief.

We are hiring someone with creative taste.

Our head of paid creative writes the concepts and the scripts. You read one and plan the visuals. You work out what has to be shown, in what order, and why anybody would stop scrolling for it. Then you go and shoot it, you step in front of the camera yourself, and you cut your own concepts through to the finished ad.

Everything is filmed on a phone. Nothing is polished. That is not a budget decision, it is the brand.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT

Taste. That is the whole thing.

You do not need to be a technical wizard. You do not need a cinema camera or a lighting kit or ten years in a studio. You do not need to know anything about advertising or performance marketing, and if you do, great, but we will teach you that part anyway.

What we cannot teach is the creative eye. Knowing what a good shot looks like. Knowing what makes a story land. Knowing why one version of something holds attention and the other one dies. If you have that, the rest is learnable and we will teach it to you properly.

THE PART THAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Every brand in lawn and garden category films a product on a white background and calls it a day.

We would rather you walked down your own street, knocked on a door, and offered to do someone's front lawn for free. Film the before. Do the work. Film the after. Sit down with them and ask how long they have been struggling with it.

Free mow days. Real yards, real mess, real people, real results. Week after week, all over Sydney to start, then the rest of the country.

Nobody in outdoor and gardening is doing this. Not the big names, not the hardware chains, not the tool brands with a hundred times our budget. It is wide open, and it works because the audience can tell instantly that it is real.

We have studied this market hard and we have a plan for how a brand like ours becomes a household name in Australia. We will walk you through the whole strategy if you make the final round.

NOW, US

Two founders. We got into ecommerce in our final year at uni and spent four years building a store to more than 100,000 customers. Then we bet what we learned, and most of what we earned, on this.

Our first product landed with a thud. Ouch. But we were already twelve months deep on the next one. It launched in December 2025, and one product later it is moving faster than we planned. We are backed by mentors who have scaled brands past $500 million.

Ageing is not decline. We make clever tools that let older Australians look after their own lawn and garden, with their own hands, for longer. A category nobody in ecommerce wants to touch. No beauty, no supplements, no fashion. Which is exactly why it is wide open.

We are proudly local, and we are not interested in building something small.

WHO YOU ARE

You have an eye, and a body of work that proves it. You can walk us through what you were going for in each piece and why you made the calls you made.

You can shoot and you can edit for social. Hook, pace, captions, music, cuts that keep someone watching. Not a three minute cinematic piece. The thing that stops a thumb.

You are good on camera and you know it. Not a presenter voice. A real one, with energy and a personality people actually like.

You will knock on the door. This is the honest filter for this job. If walking up to a stranger's house and asking to mow their lawn sounds fun rather than terrifying, you are our kind of person.

You are ambitious in a way that has nothing to do with job titles. You want to look back in a few years and point at something extraordinary that you helped build, and a household name in a category nobody else wanted is about as good a story as this industry offers.

THE WORK, PLAINLY

  • Turn concepts and scripts into visual plans, then shoot what those plans need, every day.
  • Cut your own concepts through to the finished ad. Our editors reuse your footage across everything else.
  • Be on camera. Presenting, demoing, interviewing, being funny, doing the lawn work yourself.
  • Work with the team to increase our production output from 30 videos a week to 50 and beyond, with more variety, not just more volume.
  • Get out there. Door knocking, free mows, transformations, and shoots at our warehouse at Wetherill Park.
  • Stay ahead of trends and formats, and turn them into something that is ours rather than borrowed.

WHAT IS ON THE TABLE

  • You finish your own work. You see your concepts through to the final cut, so what goes live is the version you had in your head.
  • Both founders in the work with you. Deliberately lean. No agency layers, no politics, no waiting three weeks for a decision.
  • You are early. You join while we are still building it, so you learn how the whole business runs, not just the creative corner.
  • You get to see what worked. Real numbers on everything you make, which almost nobody in this craft ever gets.
  • We will teach you the rest. How we read performance, how we write scripts, how we build concepts. Over time you write your own and run your own ads end to end.
  • A team built around you. As this grows we want content creators all over Australia, and you help lead them.
  • A real path. A$6,000 to A$8,000 per month on a 3 month contract, then a full time role and a pay review for the right person.

THIS IS NOT FOR EVERYONE

Want a studio, a tripod, a colour grade and a week to make one video? You will not enjoy it here.

Want to make more work in a month than you have made all year, see exactly how it landed, and have your face on a brand that Australians end up knowing? Now we are talking.

HOW TO PUT YOUR HAND UP

Send us:

  • Your portfolio or reel, plus three pieces you personally shot or edited, with one line on each about what you were going for.
  • A short video, filmed on your phone, telling us who you are and why this role (just like a cover letter but filmed). Unedited is completely fine. We are not looking for production value, we are looking at whether you are comfortable and interesting on camera, because that is the part of this job you cannot fake.
  • Your CV, your Sydney suburb and your availability.

That was about ninety seconds. Thank you for that. We cannot wait to see what you send!
